Shredded Pork Burrito – Polish Style

This is an adopted version of burrito in Poland using ingredients from traditional foods such as: pulled pork neck meat and sauerkraut as well as potatos french fries. I really used leftover meat to make this meal and it made out terrific so I wanted to share recipe or rather – instructions with you today.


PREP TIME: 5 min (if you have prepared all ingredients earlier)

Otherwise: 2,5 hours to prepare meat, 10 min to cook rice

NEED: tortilla size pan


  1. 3 tsbp meat, heated, pulled pork neck from this recipe HERE
  2. 3 tsbp rice, cooked
  3. 1 tortilla
  4. 3 slices of cheese
  5. Few strips of red bell pepper (capsicum)
  6. small handful of sauerkraut


  1. Prepare meat according to this recipe for PORKNECK MEAT IN TOMATO MUSHROOM SAUCE or heat up meat if prepared earlier (#1)
  2. Pull meat with the fork mixing together with sauce
  3. Cook rice according to directions (#2)
  4. Place tortilla on the pan, low heat, sprinkle with water (so it is soft and can be bended/shaped easily) (#3)
  5. Place cheese (#4) on one tortilla and let it melt
  6. Remove tortilla from the pan
  7. Add rice on one half of tortilla, in the middle
  8. Then add meat, bell pepper and sauerkraut
  9. Fold and wrap slowly and carefully

PAIR WITH: French Fries, Yam and Potato Fries or eat alone
