Cooked Fava Beans Snack
Fava Beans are in season only for some time in the summer and they are never as good as then when you compare it to winter editions – as frozen or canned. I love to pick a small bowl as a healthy snack or even to substitute for popcorn with TV.
It is best to get the beans when they are fresh, young and green – in USA and Europe that will be July / August. Look for the ones that have a light green and even color – not dark spots or wholes.
- 1 lb/0.5kg Fava Beans
- 2 liters Water
- 1 tsp Salt
- Add fava bean to water in the pot
- Bring to boil, cook for 5 minutes
- Add 1 tsp of salt and cook until soft, for another 5 minutes
