Tomato Cod Fish with Black Seeds recipe



PREP TIME: 10 min


  1. 200g cod fish fillet, cut in strips
  2. 1 tbsp clarified butter
  3. 2 tbsp tomato puree
  4. 2 garlic cloves, sliced
  5. 1/2 tsp black seeds (also called fennel flower or black cumin)
  6. Salt


  1. Melt butter in a non stick pan
  2. Add garlic, cod, tomato puree, sprinkle with salt to taste and fry on medium/low heat for 3 minutes
  3. Turn around the fish, sprinkle with black seeds and simmer for another 4-5 minutes, covered. The fish should be fully cooked, but soft and buttery.

PAIR WITH: vegetables, rice, bread
